RESULTS OF Palo Alto Mid-Range Prone April 5, 2008
Bad weather in the region Friday night did not prove to be an issue with Saturday’s match, as nineteen shooters enjoyed a great day
of mid-range shooting. Conditions were cool under cloudy skies with steady winds most of the day. Gary Henry was Prone Match Winner
again, with a score of 595-37x. Rob Westfall continues to show us what hard work and practice will produce, as his score of 594-24x took
the top place in combined Master/High Master class and was only a single point behind Gary. Another highlight was young Mike Liuzza’s
debut with his Porter built Palma rifle, firing a very nice score of 593-19x. Great shooting guys!!
On the F-Class side, Joey Clark, in his first match of the year, showed he has not forgotten a thing, with a fine match winning score of
590-20x. First place in the Open class was Whitney Simoneaux with a score of 588-28x. Congratulations to all.
Thanks to Gary Henry, Joey Clark and Dave Polan for preparing the targets for the match, and also Ronald Kliebert, Richard Bordelon and
Joe Mistretta for preparing the range for the match. You guys make range the great place it is to shoot.
Next Saturday, April 12th will be the Palo Alto smallbore prone 1200 match, and April 18, 19 & 20th will be the Bayou Regional XC team, regional,
and leg match. Tuesday April 12th will be the quarterly Palo Alto membership meeting at Cabela’s.
Our next Mid-Range match will be Saturday May 3rd. Hope to see you there.
